For the second month in a row, my request to “hold” all mail was not followed. Each day I left town, I checked the mailbox to make sure expected packages were held – not delivered. Both start days didn’t hold packages (expensive items), but did save the paper mail. Why? Other packages were held (HOLD written on the package by the post office) and delivered on the start dates. Had I not checked my mailbox, the not-to-be-delivery packages may or may not have been there when I returned. In spite of what negative comments my neighbors have said, up until now I had faith in the local employees to do the right thing and honor my request for the hold dates. But two months in a row they have failed me.
