Oh how my childhood illusion of watching American Westerns at the Saturday afternoon pictures here in the UK in the 50s has been shattered. The US mail always got through.
Not this time. Despite numerous morse coding NO. Think the outlaws really need a children’s trinket box.
I posted the parcel number above from here in the UK to get to Grand Haven in good time for my little Granddaughter’s birthday on the 24th. November. All went well until it reached Grand Haven post office where it has been since the 15th.
My agent (P2G)in the UK can’t get an answer so I decided to contact direct.
The first number I found was US post office. After 45 minutes, yes 45, of answering stupid questions to a robot it told me the parcel was with Grand Haven. I of course knew this. But it did hope I had a nice day.
I then found your number. I tried for 3 hours but was unable to get through so I tried Lake View post office. I knew this was near as I was going to stay ( covid cancelled) there whilst visiting my son in Grand Haven. Got through immediately. They were unable to contact Grand Haven post office.
My wife was busy decorating the Christmas tree. Annoying the decorations are from China but get here in 2 days. Anyway I am a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to that sort of thing so went into my office to try you again. Second attempt got through. Spoke to a nice gent who promised to look into it for me.
As he was unable to ring international I said I would ring back tomorrow. But of course that will be a problem.
Please can you help. My little Granddaughter is only a couple of blocks, as you Americans say, round the corner.
