This is a complaint for Nicolas Garcia – Postmaster.

Please discontinue your “Stop at every mailbox” policy and go back to the “Stop at the mailbox only when mail needs to be picked up or delivered”. This policy of stopping at my mailbox every day – even when there is no mail, is frustrating for me and more costly for the post office.

Every unnecessary stop adds more wear and tear on the brakes and transmission plus adds more fuel costs. And as winter approaches, it will contribute to more potential for slips and slides – involving vehicles and mailboxes.

For me, this is very frustrating. I am old and getting around is not as easy as it used to be. If you continue to make my mail lady stop every day even when she leaves no mail, I will stop going out – letting mail pile up – when it is delivered.

Not good for either the mail lady or me. She may worry about my health and I may miss an important time sensitive correspondence.

Please go back to the old policy and let the mail person only stop when there is real mail to be picked up or delivered.

Currently, the policy of stopping every time is not practical or customer friendly. Thank you.
