I got an email letting me know that I had a package that I had to sign for on 12/7/23. I saw our mailman coming, so I left my door open, just leaving the screen door closed, and waited in the doorway. The mailman went to my mailbox, dropped off mail, and left. I immediately went out to check the mail, and found a “you weren’t home, so you need to pick the package up at the post office” slip in the mailbox. I had to chase him down the street to get my package. He never even attempted to deliver it. Knowing what a zoo the post office is this time of year, I didn’t want to, nor should I have had to, go to the post office. I don’t understand why he could not get out of his truck and attempt the delivery. Could you please talk to the driver regarding this incident (I live on Hamlet Dr. in Port Orange)? Someone is always at home; my mother had a massive stroke, she is 100% total assist, and I am her full-time caregiver. Leaving the house is almost impossible for me. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
